PERFORMANCE COACHING IN DRAMA & MUSICAL THEATRE
Whether you need a little extra help to boost your confidence for an important audition or final exam , or some advice and guidence to choose the right song/s or speech/es, I'm here to help. I know first hand how it feels to audition and some of the tricks and techniques you can harness to help you succeed. Even the most consumate and brilliant audition, does not mean a job or college placement at the end of it. However, if you come out of an audition knowing that you have done your very best and performed to the peak of your ability without allowing nerves and negative thoughts to get in your way,it wont be long until success is yours.
I studied up to 'A' level theatre studies and then went through the audition process to obtain a place at college. As a professional actress in musical theatre I have spent a good deal of my time auditioning, interviewing and, of course, performing. It is this experience of thirty years that I bring to each session and I relish the chance to help others who share the same asperations; a passion for theatre and a love of performance, to achieve their professional or personal goals. I am CRB cleared and am happy to coach children as well as adults for GCSE performance and ' A' level performance exams. Whether its a a one-off session to clear-up some last minute nerves or glitches, or help with choosing a piece of music or drama and then guidence with it right through to the performance stage, I would like to help.
The skills required to deliver a set speech or song for performance, are the same skills that are required for any form of public speaking. Are you nervous about standing up to speak in public, do you have an important event coming up that requires a well constructed speech? I have spent several years as a regular speaker for the Surrey WI and business groups so I can help you construct, memorize and perform your talk with the confidence and style that will ensure success.
Prices start at £40.00 for first hour
Subsequent sessions: £20 per half hour or £35 per hour
For all singers and musical theatre performers, you will need to provide an MP3/backing track of your song/s to work with in your session.
